Ultralight Wind Jacket

Description
Wind stoppers are the smartest hiking and running pieces of gear! For the weight of half a t-shirt you get an unparalleled amount of protection from the wind and cold; great breathability and super fast drying. The material we chose is a nylon taffeta ripstop – very light and soft to the touch. This 10D fabric is not the lightest we tested but is tough and very wind resistant. With its DWR coating, it sheds water quite well and can protect you from rain. Still, the jacket is not intended for long, heavy rains – for really wet condition, we recommend 100% waterproof fabrics.
This jacket is quite light – only 60 grams (size M). It still has all the features you would expect and even some more: a full length YKK zipper, an adjustable hood and elastic cords to cinch the jacket at the hips to prevent cold spots. We even designed our own, easy to use cord locks to shave the last few grams. The back is unusually long to protect your butt while moving and not to raise and quill under your backpack.
The most distinctive feature are the super long sleeves for hand protection. To still use your hands (for example to hold trekking poles), we made large thumb slits. You can easily flip the sleeves around and use as a standard jacket.
When not in use, the jacket packs in its pocket, hidden in the hood and becomes a tiny pillow that fits in shorts’ pockets.

Sizing
The jacket comes in six unisex sizes – consider that this is the last, most external layer of your clothing (except rain gear). We have a table with our general recommendations.

Instructions
How to adjust
To cinch at the hips or the hood pull a bungee cord and put it back in the slit to lock. You can also adjust the length of the hood with the hooktape inside it.
How to pack
The jacket has a storage pocket in the hood. Flip it around and start stuffing the jacket in. Close with the hookloop.
Product care
We recommend to hand wash with warm water and mild soap. The material is thin and smooth, so you will only need a few minutes to wash it and it also drys in minutes. You can also machine wash it with mild detergent as delicate fabric (hand washing program on many washing machines) at up to 30ºC, no softener.
Please allow 1g tolerance in the weight, due to manual work.
